Below are a few of the programs, activities, and service projects our SNHS Chapter at HGHS is proud to sponsor this coming school year:
Science Olympiad (S.O) Competition Team
Composed of 15 members (grades 9-12), the Gladiator Force S.O Team competes in 23 science-oriented events at regional, state, and national levels. For more info, visit https://www.soinc.org.
Scholarships and College Mentorship
SNHS not only offers its own merit-based scholarship to 12th graders, but our chapter also extends its services to guide members through the college search and financial literacy process.
STEM Weekly Tutoring Serivces
From SAT Math to AP Chemistry, our SNHS members are committed to offering their services every week starting September. For more info, locate our Events Page.
Community Service and Volunteer Opportunities
Due to COVID-19 spikes, volunteering opportunities will remain virtual until further notice; nevertheless, there will be various chances for students to give back to their scientific community.
#InWithScience Initiative
As a response to COVID-19, SNHS took the initiative to start a virtual campaign advocating for the adherence of stay-at-home orders and public health awareness; more info coming soon!
Middle and Elementary School Outreach
This coming year, SNHS aspires to partner with local middle and elementary schools with the ultimate goal of exposing young minds to the powers science.
